Goodwill Garden Volunteer Opportunities

Goodwill Garden: Everyone’s Harvest partners with six nonprofits (Marina Tree & Garden Club, Peninsula Wellness Center CHOMP, HOPE Services, Veterans Transition Center, Goodwill of the Central Coast Workforce Development Services, NCI Affiliates) to support the Goodwill Garden project in Fort Ord. The goal of the garden is to empower people to gain access to fresh local organic produce. In addition, the garden works as a social outlet for many developmentally disabled and recovering adults. A large focus of volunteering will be on engaging with clients of each partnered organization.

In the garden, CSUMB Service Learners and community volunteers spend time assisting clients of partnered nonprofits through garden work and directed garden activities. The garden activities will consist of some but not all composting, planting, harvesting. Be prepared to get dirty and participate in physical activities.

Location: 249 10th St. Marina, CA 93933.

Available Volunteer Days/Times: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9:30am – 11:30am.
