For the market season in 2025, we will continue our in-person Cooking Demonstrations at the Alisal, Natividad, Marina, Pacific Grove, & Seaside farmers markets. The first 15 participants who attend and complete a survey at the end of the demo will receive a voucher worth $10 to spend on fruits and vegetables at any of our farmers’ markets.
Here is the schedule of spring cooking demos in 2025:
July 31st at 4 pm: Nutritional Tasting at Seaside Market of Cowboy Caviar (Bean Salsa).
July 22nd at noon: Chef Philomena will demonstrate Rainbow Kale Salad with Orange Vinaigrette.
July 16th at 11 am: Nutritional Tasting at Natividad Market of Low-carb Mashed Potatoes.
July 6th at 11am: Nutritional Tasting at Marina Market of Italian Zucchini Tart (Scarpaccia) with Peanut Butter Sauce
July 1st at noon: Nutritional Tasting at Alisal Market of Electrolyte Drinks.
June 25th at noon: Chef Rochelle at Natividad Market will demonstrate Stuffed Zucchini Boats.
June 12th at 4 pm: Nutritional Tasting at Seaside Market of Veggie Sammie with Hummus.
June 3rd at noon: Chef Anthony at Alisal Market will be demonstrating Rainbow Nopal Salad with Mango-Chili Dressing.
May 28th at 11 am: Nutritional Tasting at Natividad Market of Roasted Veggie Pinwheels with Chipotle Aioli.
May 18th at 11 am: Nutritional Tasting with Chef James at Marina Market of Green Goddess Dressing.
May 8 at 4 pm: Chef Alan Mello at Seaside Market will be demonstrating Pesto Flexibility.
April 23 at 12 pm: Chef James at Natividad Market will be demonstrating Turkish Lentil Balls.
April 6 at 12 pm: Chef Goi at Marina Market will be demonstrating Stir-Fried Asparagus and Tofu.
March 23 at 11 am: Chef Alex at Marina Market will be providing a nutritional tasting of Broccoli and Carrot Slaw.
March 6 at 4 pm: Chef Amy at Seaside Market will be demonstrating Longevity Stew with Black-Eyed Peas.
February 20 at 4 pm: Chef Alex Hernandez at Seaside Market will be providing a nutritional tasting of ABC (Apple, Beet, Carrot) Soup.
February 16 at noon: Chef Talya Lutzker at Marina Market will be demonstrating Beautiful Beet Borscht.
January 30 at 4 pm: Chef Philomena Ojeda at Seaside Market demonstrating Creamy Kale, Chard, and Vegetable Soup
