Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System Certified Farmers’ Market

Fresh, Local, Affordable!

Open seasonally- Mid-May to October

Every Friday – 1:30pm to 5:30pm – 450 East Romie Lane

The Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (SVMHS) is at the corner of Wilgart Way and East Romie Lane in Salinas.

SVMHS Market offers a wide array fresh fruits and vegetables from small-scale family farmers (many certified organic), along with prepared food.

The SVMHS Market also runs a Fresh Produce Prescription Program, a unique collaboration between medical institutions and farmers’ markets focused on preventative health. In the program, a doctor writes a prescription for fruits and vegetables, and then the patient receives free vouchers for fresh produce at the SVMHS Market. With encouragement from their doctor, produce vouchers, and free, easy-to-prepare healthy recipe cards, the patient is encouraged to make healthier food choices.MM-Small

The SVMHS Market happily accepts EBT/WIC and conducts a Market Match program for EBT customers to leverage their spending power. Ask at the Market’s Information Booth.

The Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare Certified Farmers’ Market is supported and funded by Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare.
