Fresh, Local, Affordable!
Open seasonally – June to the end of September
Every Tuesday – 11am to 4pm – 632 East Alisal Market
The Alisal Certified Farmers’ Market is located in East Salinas in the parking lot of the WIC Family and Community Nutrition Programs.
The Alisal Certified Farmers’ Market offers a wide array of fresh fruits and vegetables from small-scale family farmers (over half are certified organic). Our vendors offer many unique items such as squash blossoms and hot peppers, along with prepared food.
The WIC Family and Community Nutrition Programs started the Alisal Market in 1998 because mothers receiving WIC farmers’ market vouchers had nowhere to use them. In 2011, upon request from WIC, Everyone’s Harvest took over the Alisal Market to ensure continued access to fresh produce for WIC families and the East Salinas community (a low-income area with 56 percent of its population at or below the federal poverty rate). The Alisal Market happily accepts EBT/WIC and conducts a Market Match program for EBT customers to leverage their spending power. Ask at the Market’s Information Booth.
This program was funded by the Douglas Foundation.
